803980 Stainless Steel Cable Protector Sleeves (4-Pack)

The 803980 Stainless Steel Cable Protector Sleeves (4-Pack) are designed to protect the edges of your stair wood newel posts at corners and transitions from a horizontal run to an angled stair slope (rake), they prevent the cable from wearing/cutting into the wood. the outside of your mid post cable holes.

• 4-Pack Marine grade 316 Stainless Steel Protectors
• Diameter 1/4" - Length 7/8"
• Works with 1/8" and 3/16" diameter cable
• Low maintenance, maximum durability and corrosion resistance
• Installation consists of gently tapping the sleeves into the 1/4" cable drilled holes using a hammer; this must be done before cable running.

They are also used to protect mid posts from cables rubbing around the outside of cable holes.

Caution: It is critical that the newel is attached securely in order for the staircase to comply with local building codes.
